Bio

Bio (Long):

Yvette Cornelia Holzwarth is a versatile violinist, vocalist, and composer whose artistry bridges the gap between Western classical precision and the soulful improvisation of jazz, folk, and world traditions. Based in Los Angeles, she has shared the stage with legendary artists including Stevie Wonder, George Benson, and Ariana Grande, and has recorded on albums by innovators such as Kamasi Washington, Gaby Moreno, and Van Dyke Parks.

Deeply rooted in the musical traditions of Eastern Europe, Yvette is widely recognized for her duo project with guitarist Miroslav Tadić. Their debut album, Luka (Croatia Records), received critical acclaim for its evocative blend of Balkan folkloric music and modern improvisation.

A graduate of the California Institute of the Arts (M.F.A.), Yvette has built a reputation as a fearless collaborator and a founding member of ensembles such as Bridge to Everywhere and the Desert Quill Quartet. Whether recording for major film and television scores or performing on international stages, she continues to redefine the violin's role across genres. Her creative journey is most intimately expressed through her solo work as Yvette Cornelia, where she serves as songwriter, vocalist, and violinist in a project that merges art-pop sensibilities with her vast stylistic palette.
